Terms of service
The agreement for using Withose, written to be actually read. Effective 11 July 2026.
The agreement
These terms are a contract between you (or the organisation you represent) and Withose, operated from the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to do that.
What Withose is
Withose turns conversations your team explicitly captures from Slack or Microsoft Teams into structured decision records: the question, the options, where each stakeholder stands, an AI-drafted synthesis, and a searchable archive once decisions are finalized. What it is not: an archive of your chat history, a monitoring tool, or a system of record you are locked into.
Accounts
Sign-in is by emailed magic link; there are no passwords. Keeping your email account secure is therefore part of keeping your Withose account secure. Workspace owners and admins control membership and billing for their workspace. Stakeholders you invite to weigh in respond through a personal link without creating an account.
Your content stays yours
You own the content you capture into Withose and everything derived from it. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, process, and display that content to run the service, including sending captured messages to our AI provider to draft and synthesise (see the privacy policy for exactly who processes what). We do not train models on your content. Deleting your workspace destroys its encryption key, which makes the content unrecoverable, including by us.
AI outputs are advice, and your decisions stay yours
Drafts, syntheses, and recommendations are generated by AI from the messages you captured. They can be incomplete or wrong, and they depend on what was actually said in the conversation. They are informational input to your judgement, never a substitute for it, and they are not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. Every decision made, or not made, using Withose remains entirely yours and your organisation's. To the maximum extent the law allows, we accept no responsibility for any loss or damage arising from acting, or declining to act, on an AI-generated recommendation or any other output of the service. Review before you rely.
Acceptable use
Use Withose lawfully and only with conversations you have the right to capture: it is your responsibility to follow your organisation's policies and applicable law when capturing what colleagues have written. Do not attempt to break, probe, or overload the service, resell it without our agreement, or use it to build a competing dataset. Connections to Slack and Microsoft Teams are also governed by those platforms' own terms.
Plans, trials, and billing
New workspaces start with a free trial of the Team plan (currently 7 days, no card required), then move to the Free plan automatically if you do not subscribe: nothing is deleted. Paid plans are billed per seat through Stripe, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. If we change prices, existing subscriptions get clear notice before any change applies. Seats cover teammates with accounts; invited stakeholders are always free.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Withose fast and available, but the self-serve plans come without a formal uptime guarantee. The product will keep evolving; if we ever retire something meaningful, we will give you notice and a way to get your data out.
Ending things
You can stop using Withose and delete your workspace at any time, which destroys its encryption key. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, and where reasonable we will warn you first. On termination, the licence you granted us ends with the service.
Liability, plainly
Withose is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost data caused by events outside our control), nor for the outcome of any business decision made or not made in reliance on the service or its AI outputs, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Law and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the product or by email before it takes effect. This version is effective 11 July 2026.
